朱迪（乔安娜·贝蒂 Jordana Beatty 饰）、洛奇（加雷特·瑞安 Garrett Ryan 饰）和艾米（泰拉·亨德尔 Taylar Hender 饰）是青梅竹马的玩伴，三人之家感情十分的要好。暑假很快就要到了，三人聚在一起给他们的暑假制定了非常精彩的计划。哪知道等到执行之时，艾米和洛奇却双双计划有变，艾米要和妈妈一起前往婆罗洲，在古老的部落里进行探险，而洛奇则决定去马戏团学习怎样训练狮子。
看着两个好友都有了更加刺激有趣的事情要做，朱迪感到十分的孤单，祸不单行，爸爸妈妈忽然因为工作的原因要在暑假期间前往加州，为了照顾年幼的朱迪，他们找来了朱迪一点也不熟悉的奥帕尔姑妈（海瑟·格拉汉姆 Heather Graham 饰）来陪伴朱迪。
