20世纪80年代，横滨中央署刑事课刑警京极浩介（唐泽寿明 饰）沿袭着昭和时代前辈们的粗犷作风，不顾身家性命一次次冲锋在办案现场的最前沿。直到他在一次任务中遭遇爆炸事件，这位热血警察才彻底沉寂下来。他躺在病床上，一睡便是三十年。 转眼来到了21世纪的第十个年头，浩介居然毫无征兆地醒来了，周遭世界天翻地覆的改变已然令他瞠目结舌，周遭人物的变换流转又使他恍如隔世。凭借当年后辈的帮助，浩介回归警队，并且与平成一代的草食系刑警望月亮太（洼田正孝 饰）结成搭档。本就在性格和年龄上存在巨大鸿沟的两个人，加上长达三十年的记忆断层，可以想见他们的组合必然矛盾不断。 这一日，横滨中央警署引入的人工智能引起巨大的事件，甚至导致日本走向毁灭的边缘，为了阻止这场史无前例的危机，京极和望月携手出击！
