在地中海的小镇上，彼图（文森特·卡塞尔 Vincent Cassel 饰）刚刚刑满释放，五年的牢狱生活让他对自由充满了渴望。然而，当他回到家乡，他发现自己的生活变得错综复杂。彼图的好友吉勒斯已经成为小镇的黑帮老大，更加令他震惊的是，他的哥哥已经结婚，并且妻子竟然是五年前他曾深爱的女友玛居丽（莫妮卡·贝鲁奇 Monica Bellucci 饰）。
