费德里克．费里尼导演的影片，因曲高和寡而很少在中国正式公映。这一部他晚年执导的喜剧比较平易近人。近年逝世的马塞罗．马斯特罗阿尼和朱列塔．马西娜饰演踢踏舞搭档毕波与艾蜜莉，年轻时曾以美国舞王舞后“金姐与弗雷"为艺名巡回表演。如今年华老去，一个全国性的特别电视节目邀他俩再度聚首献艺。这两名意大利娱乐圈的小人物在录影过程中，一方面缅怀昔日的表演风光，另一方面则受到电视演出时的挫折。直至曲终人散，两人再各散东西，回到他们的平凡生活。导演走嘲讽喜剧的风格对老版歌舞艺人致敬，尽管内容比较松散浮浅，但男女主角的表演还是相当精彩。
