刑警方极贤（任昌丁饰）最近遭遇了一个不小的麻烦，由于帮朋友做了债务担保，反而惹祸上身，成了信誉不良的客户。债务公司业务员金武玲（严智媛饰）是个对业务有着锲而不舍精神的“夺命”女话务员，她的独门功夫就是每隔30分钟给欠债人拨打电话，不分昼夜。 每每在方极贤执行重要任务，追捕重要疑犯的时刻，方极贤总是接到金武玲的催债电话，一切前功尽弃。然而阴差阳错间，方极贤帮金武玲找回了丢失的钱包，他的真诚打动了金武玲的芳心，金武玲也认定自己遇见了真命天子。这对本该喜结连理的欢喜冤家，却并不知道彼此都是对方最厌恶的人。
