Mike Biggs(Billy meijubar.net Gardell饰)是一个体型稍显肥胖却心地善良的芝加哥警员，于一次偶然的机会在肥胖人士匿名交友会结识了同样体型丰满的小学老师Molly Flynn(Melissa McCarthy饰)。二人从相识、相恋一路走来，和家人、朋友之间发生了无数令人捧腹的囧事。然而每一次啼笑皆非的状况背后，却总是氤氲着暖暖的温情。正如Mike的搭档Carl McMillan(Reno Wilson饰)所说，他们之所以拥有稍显庞大的身躯，是为了能够装得下他们宽广的心。
