影片改编自真实事件。曾经，元光（朴熙顺 饰）也是一名叱咤风云的足球健将，可是，一次失败的投资让他的生活一蹶不振。失意的元光千里迢迢来到东帝汶，希望能在当地开一个咖啡馆大赚一笔以抚平受伤的内心。可是，没有经商头脑的他再一次遭遇了失败，难道他就要这样灰头土脸一无所获的回国吗？ 临行前，光元发现了一群光着脚踢球的当地孩子，这让他发现了新的商机，就这样，一家足球用品商店成立了。尽管使用了分期付款的经营模式，可是孩子们还是无法支付购买球鞋的费用，元光的商店再一次的面临倒闭。可是，这一次和以往不同，孩子们的热忱和对足球的热爱感动了元光，他决定组建一只少年足球队，向国际比赛发起了挑战。
