摩特（杰弗里·塔伯 Jeffrey Tambor 饰）是一名德高望重的大学教授，虽然他和妻子雪梨（朱迪斯·赖特 Judith Light 饰）已经离婚多年，但两人之间还是维持着非常友好的来往。
