故事描述不远的未来发生诡异的怪事，全世界所有形式的能量都神秘消失，所有的现代科技都成了摆设，纷纷神秘的“罢工”，包括电脑、飞机、汽车、手机、甚至是电灯在内的所有东西都不能正常运作。这迫使一群幸存者不得不通过自己的双手来谋求生存并四处寻找他们的亲人和爱人。
