《冥海禁地》改编自潘海根同名热门小说，这是国内首个海洋探险系列IP，也是第一部展现神秘“海捞者”疍家人的水上传奇生活的IP项目。电影以探险寻宝为主题，融合了航海、冒险、怪兽等多种热点元素，围绕着海底城之谜展开，讲述了疍民之后卞海生、灵药岛岛主之女安素等一行人从海上探险深入到海底城探秘的过程中所经历的种种奇遇。
