故事聚焦1963年11月22日发生在达拉斯市帕克兰（PARKLAND）医院的肯尼迪总统遇刺事件。本片以这样一个爆炸性事件辐射了包括扎克·埃夫隆饰演的医生、保罗·吉亚玛提饰演的用摄像机无意中拍摄下罪案过程的见证者，通过这样一批事件见证人的震惊和触动，从而导出整个事件背后扑朔迷离的案件分析。
