故事发生在阳光灿烂风景宜人的加利福尼亚，为了不辜负亲人的期望，莎拉（瑞切尔·格里菲斯 Rachel Griffiths 饰）回到了故乡，开始着手打理父亲威廉姆（汤姆·斯凯里特 Tom Skerritt 饰）留下的家族产业。
