蒂姆，一个单身父亲，想要赢回他叛逆的的9岁大的儿子－马库斯的尊重和感情。为了证明他不是一个彻头彻尾的失败者，蒂姆离开他那毫无前途的工作，却意外的被军情五处招募为间谍。本剧讲述的就是这样一个菜鸟间谍的工作和生活。
