ChuckLevine和LarryValentine是同一个消防站的消防队员，两人在平时的工作中都表现极为突出，每每成为全站的学习楷模。在一次救火过程中Chuck遇险，多亏Larry奋力扑救才让他捡回一条小命。心怀感激的Chuck一直想找机会报答此救命之恩。终于，他等到了这个机会——成为Larry的新娘！原来Larry因为是单身而无法让前妻留给他的两个孩子成为自己的人身保险受益人。他需要一个配偶，即使，他是个男人。于是，他们伪装成同性恋夫妇，企图骗取政府的信任。不过如此浅薄伎俩怎能瞒的过所有人的雪亮的眼睛。一个好管闲事的政府职员就看出了个中猫腻。为了揭穿他们，他故意制造海角社区交友APP下载引得大报小报都开始频繁的对这对夫妇进行报道，并对他们开始进行全方位的狗仔跟拍，让两位灭火英雄着实过了一把明星瘾。一时间所有海角社区交友APP下载“满城尽带消防员”的挂满了他们的照片。面对如此空前盛大的群众热情，这对半路夫妻也不得不作出一副恩爱的样子出现在公众面前。骑虎难下的难兄难弟只好开始了他们的蜜月之旅，由此，剧情在两个大男人的后现代生活中层层铺展，笑料叠出。而最终走过公众考察期的哥俩也开始明白了婚姻和家庭的真谛……
