故事发生在一个虚构的神话世界中，哈亚（丹尼·格洛弗DannyGlover饰）是业界闻名的猎龙人，他发明了战船，以其骁勇善战的个性著称，然而，只有哈亚自己清楚，自己的内心里究竟隐藏了多少的脆弱和悔恨。\r原来，哈亚曾经因为胆怯和恐惧导致妹妹死在了白龙的手中，如今，他收养了名为蕾切尔（索非亚·佩尔纳斯SofiaPernas饰）的女孩。蕾切尔的父亲因为在战斗中逃跑而死在了哈亚的手中，哈亚向蕾切尔隐瞒了事实，谎称她的父亲系被龙杀死。伊斯梅尔（柯里·瑟威尔CoreySevier饰）加入了哈亚的队伍，当他和蕾切尔终于深入白龙的巢穴之时，发现的却是身上插有哈亚的长矛的蕾切尔的父亲的尸体。
