伊尔琳和莱翁在婚礼上认识了莱翁的妹妹凯特琳的男友沃伦。伊尔琳看到沃伦想到了控制欲极强并伴随着暴力倾向的前夫吉米。伊尔琳向警方申请了证人保护计划，并出卖了吉米。吉米被杀后，伊尔琳带着小女儿贝基离开芝加哥嫁给了现在的丈夫——葡萄酒庄园主人莱翁。伊尔琳总是感觉吉米并没有死，伊尔琳打电话给当年负责自己案件的罗斯林警官，伊尔琳的感觉并没有错，沃伦就是当年的吉米，只不过他改变了自己的容貌并更换了职业，这次回到伊尔琳的视野为的就是夺回自己心爱的人，沃伦假冒女儿贝基的同学，每晚与女儿攀谈，他让贝基不要相信自己的继父。伊尔琳向女警官求救，但是女警官却因证据不足无法采取相应的措施。伊尔琳决定自己解决一切问题。在旧酒厂伊尔琳打倒沃伦救出女儿。伊尔琳拿出自己的手枪指向了面前的吉米。吉米疯狂的表达着自己的爱意，一声枪响过后，吉米应声倒地。
