27岁的都市女孩桂木麻子（长泽雅美 饰）大学毕业后在就职战线上备受挫折，好不容易经老爸托情在一家编辑部找到工作，平日里就喜欢美食的麻子负责相应版块可谓得心应手。可是好景不长，她的公司突然倒闭，麻子重新沦为无业的状态。对未来和爱情都倍感迷茫，自小养尊处优的麻子决定尝试着独自生活。她租住了一户有露台的公寓，在此期间结识了热情的邻居猪熊真希（坂井真纪 饰），还接收了婚姻危机中的好友由香（芦名星 饰）。经好心的前社长介绍，他来到工藤俊一郎（吉田荣作 饰）经营的公司就职。她的生活似乎重新步入正轨，身边的朋友，同事，亲人也在匆忙的都市脚步中渐渐找到自己的节奏。 本片根据阿川佐和子的同名小说改编。
