美剧《血族》改编自吉尔莫·德尔·托罗和Chuck Hogan联合出版的同名小说。承接第一季剧情，在本季中，人类和吸血鬼之间的战争仍在继续， “血祖”The Master 继续实施他的邪恶计划，而病毒已遍布全美，幸存者们不仅要对抗反派，还要继续寻找治疗病毒的方法。据悉，原著角色“昆兰”将登场，第一季血族突击队队长并非真正的昆兰。
