上季结尾，Ben给Riley策划了一个完美生日，并且排除万难向她表白了爱意。Ben吻了Riley，Riley也接受了。于是在《少男奶爸 第三季》中，Ben和Riley开始适应从友情到爱情的转变，但这让Riley陷入极其尴尬的境地。Bonnie在不征求Ben的意见的情况下将Emma的生母Angela引入他们的生活，Ben一直对此事耿耿于怀。Angela试图向Bonnie证明自己是一个合格的母亲，同时向往着与Ben重新开始。
