露丝（茵玛·库艾斯塔饰）是个海洋生物学家，前男友佩德罗（叶贝·罗梅罗饰）的结婚让她倍受打击。阴沉的心情还没驱散，另一个前男友米克尔（帕科·莱昂饰）也邀请她参加婚礼。露丝的苦逼遭遇让新来的帅气助理丹尼（马丁·里瓦斯饰）颇为同情，丹尼决定陪她出席。在米克尔的婚礼庆典上，露丝遇到神经外科医生乔纳斯（奎姆·古铁雷兹饰），两人迅速打得火热。然而露丝的婚礼之旅尚未结束，已变性的前男友亚历克斯（劳拉·桑切斯饰）同样给她发来结婚请柬……
