导演中江裕司继《Nabbie's Love》四年后的新作，《Hotel Hibiscus》继续以冲绳为舞台。电影改编自Nakasone Miiko的同名漫画，描写小三女生美惠子的冒险和成长。饰演美惠子的蔵下穗波是在3千名冲绳小学生中挑选出来，合演者包括平良Tomi、冲绳民谣歌手照屋政雄、余贵美子等。
